This week I've been doing a bit of stamp carving. I feel like I'm slowly improving - the key word here is slow, which is how you have to do it - v e r y s l o w l y. I'm not quite happy with the carving block I'm using so I ordered some Staedtler Mastercarve (from Dick Blick in the USA because you can't get it here. Grrr.)
So here's a little Ninja guy, and a skull based on images in the Mexican codices.

They're both awesome... I like the skull :D
these are so good, I find stamp carving extremely difficult and I usually cut myself!
Thank, Kira and Kate! There has been a little bloodshed here too.
They're both great, Sam, and I think the skull is extra wonderful!
The "white stuff" is smelly & hard to use - too crumbly for me. I prefer the softer pink one. You are doing a great job from what we're seeing. :)
Thanks, RR and Sandra! I'm really starting to enjoy stamp carving a lot :-)
