Shells

I've been raving about A Rainbow of Stitches ever since I got it. Here's another little project I stitched up last week using shell patterns from the book.  Two table napkins for mummysidey's birthday, which we celebrated a day early yesterday with a trip to see Alice in Wonderland (which was fantastic).

I kind of like the back, too.

your shells are lovely sam .. (alice is amazing isn't it? _ inspiring on so many levels) .. you are taking up an old tradition by embroidering table napkins, something all of our grandmothers did .. along with handkerchiefs..

Wow, mummysidey is lucky to receive this one-of-a-kind beautiful handmade gift! I'm sure she loves them and treasures them for a looooong time :)

Such nice work, Sam; I hope your mother enjoyed/enjoys/will enjoy them (past, present, and future)!
